Friday was another cleanup day. It was the last day for my rental car, so I went downtown to Road Town and did my provisioning as well as picked up some cash for the next week. Since there were two cruise ships in town the traffic in town was pretty slow; not quite gridlock but pretty close to it. Luckily, the lights that they had installed at the main roundabout in town had been removed again so traffic was moving along. The day was somewhat overcast so I used that by doing things on deck, getting the dinghy inflated and into the water and cleaning the decks. The main work on deck still needs to be done and I hope that Vernon, a local specialist, will be able to drop by today and complete the rust treatment of the stainless on deck as well as do a light clean and scrub of the teak. If he isn’t able to come I’ll end up doing that work myself after all.
