Sunrise
Because I’d been a good boy last night, I woke up early and attacked the day with energy and zest. Today is Good Friday, but instead of observing this Christian holiday, I logged into the office for a couple of hours to do some systems work that generally can’t be done while the servers are active and busy.
Bolstered by coffee, I took a look at the freshwater problem, and it didn’t take long to discover the cause. One of the clear plastic filter covers had a hairline crack that allowed all that air to be sucked into the pump. Fortunately, I have a spare filter assembly and used the cover from that to fix the issue.
Noon
Mike came by on his/my dinghy, and we rode around to the main dinghy dock. That is very close to the Epicurean store, one of the few places open today. I needed water and some groceries, and didn’t feel like trekking it across the whole marina. I’m not sure if it is a choice by the owners or a local law, but they’d chained and roped off all the alcoholic beverages for Good Friday.
I’ve got the cheese, crackers, crisps, and nuts aboard now, so I’ll invite Jay and Mike over for sundowners later in the day.
Sundowners
The three of us had a “sundowner” session that lasted until 22:30, consuming the snacks and depleting my rum and gin supplies.
