Departure morning
I got up early despite wanting to sleep in late. John also got up and started packing his things together as he’d taken on some work and didn’t know when he’d finish. His pickup came at about 09:00 and I was finally alone aboard again. While it was great having company, I do enjoy my quiet and solitude as well.
Starlink Pickup
I went ashore to get my packages at the airport. The first stop was a place called “The Mailbox” so that I could print out my pickup slip. Despite their website stating 9-12 on Saturday, they were still firmly shuttered. I took a chance and thought that the freight company, safe cargo services, could check their system and release my shipment without papers. I took a local bus and was once again disappointed to see the cargo place shuttered as well, despite signage to the contrary. Once again, I was reminded that I wasn’t in Europe but in the Caribbean. At least the bus was air-conditioned so I remained on board and did a round-trip back to Simpson Bay.
I get to wait until Monday to take care of my delivery.
