2024-05-10 Day at Green Island

Sunrise

I was up and about early for some meetings and work at the computer today, taking the occasional look up from the cockpit to enjoy the beautiful vista.

The strong rains from the previous night had done a good job cleaning and washing the boat, and the dinghy was filled with water. Luckily, John volunteered to bail it dry.

Lunch

After working a full day at my virtual office, I went swimming. Armed with a paint scraper, I attacked the barnacles on the hull with it while a large school of fish darted through the drifting shells in search of food. While I was doing this, John was painting waterproofing on the Sunbrella material of the bimini – he’s got a much longer reach than I have.

Afternoon

The majority of the rest of the day was spent topsides enjoying the view and calm in the anchorage in the shelter of Green Island.
