Morning
I woke up early and tried to be quiet to let John get a full night’s worth of sleep. He’d been working several days on a catamaran which was on the hardstand; that means it was hot, windstill and under constant attack by an armada of flying things bent on getting their pound of flesh.
Noon
We stayed on board the boat most of the day. I puttered about with some work items while John went swimming around the boat. We had only had some coffee for breakfast and managed to consume the normally inedible salt-sugar-popcorn that he’d brought along.
Happy Hour
We went ashore for happy hour at Bar B’s and then proceeded up the stairs to participate in the weekly quiz night at Club Sushi. But we’d dallied too long downstairs, and the quiz night was already well into the second round. In retrospect, that was for the best as we could barely hear, much less understand, the quiz questions.
After dinner at Club Sushi, we returned back to Zanshin for a nightcap. Tomorrow will be the first day of work for the ASW2024
