Office
I started off in my virtual office at 06:00 and as soon as I’d logged into my Microsoft Teams account I got my first messages. There’s nothing exciting to post here about my work on the computer, so I’ll keep it short and merely state that I had a full day at the office until about 15:00 when I shut down the system for the day.
Afternoon
My only boat task today was to replace the old ensign with a new one. The old one had served me well for several years, but was now both faded and frayed.
The batteries are high on my priority list, as the two little starter batteries weren’t cut out for this type of load. But that will need to wait for another day, as I’m off to SMYC for the 17:00 bridge opening and happy hour.
The bar and restaurant were busy in the aftermath of the Heineken Regatta, and they now carried the Caribbean staple beers Presidente and Caribe again – those are not available during the regatta for reasons that don’t need to be explained.
The bridge opening was a quick one, with just a couple of boats entering before the grand finale of Virtuosity entering.
