Morning
Tourist Day today. But first came renting a car at the Grand Case airport and heading to Customs & Immigration on the Dutch side to clear out and then to Island Waterworld on the French side to clear into France. Both tasks were quick and easy, but traffic was slow and it took us quite a while.
Lunch and Afternoon
After the official stuff we headed to Island Waterworld where I got a Makita electric battery-powered drill set.
After that we went into Philipsburg and walked Front street, Back street and the Boardwalk. There was only one big cruise ship, so the streets were relatively clear. I managed to enter an electronics and camera store on Front street without spending anything at all, that’s got to be a record. Returning to Grand Case on the windward side, we stopped at a cool new store called One by K to get polo and T-Shirts.
Dinner
We weren’t ready for a quality gourmet dinner, but ended up at the Rib Shack lolo for a fine meal right by the sea. Thus ended the tourist day today.
