I split my time today between home-office and preparing to leave the Caribbean. It was a busy day and the afternoon rain showers made everything much more difficult.
I walked the 15 minutes to the clinic which gave me an antigen test which is required to enter the USA. The test was quick, only slightly uncomfortable, and cost $100XCD. The results were going to take about an hour and half, so I returned to the marina and had some breakfast before walking back and picking up my negative results.
I alternated between removing parts of the dodger and bimini and home-office and had almost managed to get everything removed topsides before the rains set in. I have just one piece left up, and I hope that I can remove it tomorrow morning when it has had time to dry.
My leather bag is almost ready to be packed – I have a bottle of Antigua rum which I’d like to bring along so that needs some careful packing so that it doesn’t smash en-route to the USA.
