Night
Gladly, for the first time in several days, there’s nothing to report
Morning
I woke up after 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep to find myself feeling much better. While I am still sick and feel the sore throat and splitting headache, it feels like an invisible heavy blanket has been lifted off me. I can now keep a train of thought for more than 5 seconds and look at the mess in my galley with consternation and an urge to immediately clean up. I really wonder what the course of the sickness would have been without modern antibiotics such as my Augmentin (key ingredient is Amoxicillin).

I’ve been looking at this label for days now and finally to the energy together to photograph and post it. I have to admit that my school days are in the far and distant past, and I’ve probably missed a lot of fundamental shifts in science. But I sincerely doubt that there has been a medical discovery of germs spontaneously creating viruses. And I’d really like to know the names of those 0.01% of germs. But regardless of science, it sounds pretty impressive

Empty docks in Falmouth
I wasn’t quite up to going hiking, so I stayed aboard Zanshin until happy hour at 17:00 when I dinghied ashore and went to Club Sushi for a pint of the local beer. I ended up having an early dinner there, as I hadn’t eaten in almost 2 days due to my throat issues. It was tasty and the combination of alcohol on an empty stomach and a heavy meal made me very tired and I returned to Zanshin. I read a bit on deck before giving up and going to sleep.
