Today is the Sunday before departure and I’m going to get the last items prior to departure sorted out.
Morning hours
I awoke early again and I think my ears were still ringing from the loud music at the docks the previous night. It took me two cups of coffee to get going today. Then I did some work on the computer, prior to attacking the forward guest head problem. That didn’t take long, as the shower sump has stopped working. I know how difficult the switch is to reach and opted to postpone that task until Antigua. I did have to use a cloth and bucket to clean up the leaked (clean) saltwater, though.
After that I went to the grocery store here in Rodney for some travel supplies. I did stop at Café Olé for a cappuccino and breakfast bagel on the way to the store, my first visit there this year.
Afternoon
I went for a short swim, showered & shaved and took a nap. As one can see, I worked really hard at preparing Zanshin for passage.
Evening
I wanted to get a tasty pizza from Elena’s before leaving and went ashore for an early dinner. It was very crowded, so I continued on to the Boardwalk for a drink while waiting for a table to open up. There I got to see the sunset and managed to take a couple of pictures. But that short wait turned into 3 beers and it was still quite crowded at Elena’s but they managed to get me a seat inside. I had a tasty wood-oven fired pepperoni pizza and was soon back aboard and asleep.
Thus passed the Sunday before departure.
