Today’s event was the “Round the Island Race” and it was started from and finished from a starting line at Fort Charlotte. I missed the early morning ride to the Fort, but Hans was kind enough to offer to give me a ride – but since we were already too late for the first starters we had a lot of time on our hands and opted for breakfast. After the tasty and leisurely repast we drove up to the start – Hans’ vehicle is fortunately a sturdy four wheel drive that made short shrift of all the bumps on the way. I enjoyed watching the last of the big boys jockey for position and start; plus seeing the finishers come in.

2016 Trip 2016-04-23
My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.
Every. Single. Page.
So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.
The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
