I spent the day preparing for my next passage back to the BVI and have stocked up on fine French cheeses and steaks, requiring several trips to the Carrefour supermarket (which used to be the “Le Grand Marché”) by the Princess Casino. My credit card got to see some extensive use, particularly for the cuts of beef, but in the end I got almost everything I wanted. I made a marinade for some of the steaks and placed them in plastic bags for about an hour before putting the bags into the freezer.
The weather tomorrow looks good, but the day after that looks even better. The big Jeanneau 64 “Serenity” is here in the lagoon and will most likely be heading out to the BVI tomorrow.
