2014 Trip 2014-04-16

My homemade meal from last night was a prime example of why I should eat out more often. One, or perhaps more, of the components were probably past their eat-by date and resultant meal, while tasty, didn’t do my digestive tract any good at all. All I will say is that I’m glad that my aft head is electric rather than the manual pump type…

I had spoken with Les and Jeremie from Golightly the night before and we’d agreed to sail (or motor) Zanshin to Pigeon Island for the day; I would dive and they would snorkel around the island. Although I was feeling under the weather I really wanted to dive there again and after they’d completed clearing in (they waited over an hour in line, as the store had been closed for 2 days and there were a lot of cruisers clearing in or out on the single computer system) we motored in light winds the 9 miles to Pigeon Island. We anchored close to shore and then loaded the dinghy up with dive and snorkel stuff and I had a nice dive, but I was still a bit cramped and the visibility wasn’t as good as the previous visit. Les and Jeremie had a good snorkel as well and we motored back to the anchorage in Deshaies, again with a headwind! Upon anchoring I wasn’t feeling well at all and after returning them to the boat I tried to rest and sleep. This continued throughout the afternoon and evening and until the next morning – this case of bad food lasted a long time, usually your tummy gives a massive shout for a couple of hours and then you slowly recuperate but this time it lasted much longer.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
