2014 Trip 2014-01-29

The medication, perhaps the antibiotic in conjunction with the analgesic didn’t treat me very well at all – I felt generally down today, even worse than the day after the accident happened when I felt OK despite the cuts and bruises. I hope that it has the expected effect to make it worth the trouble.
I drove into town again but despite going into the stores I wasn’t really up to it, all I really got done was to purchase some thin and clear fishing line which I’m going to use on the cockpit LED lights to attach them to the bimini tubing. I don’t fish, but hope that those slippery fishing lines use the same general knots as big lines do. I’m banking on using constrictor knots, which often bind so tightly that the only way to remove them is to cut the line. On the other hand, my constrictor knots of the day before weren’t tight enough or well-tied enough to stay put and many of those ties had loosened overnight.
I made it back aboard in the afternoon and couldn’t gather the requisite energy to go ashore again, so I made some Jasmine rice with butter for dinner (my appetite didn’t allow more) and watched a movie on the computer. The wind was still gusting and raising foam in the anchorage one minute and then becalming the boat the next when I went to sleep and I knew that I wouldn’t sleep through the night.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

Every.  Single.  Page.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
