Since I’d gone to sleep far too early the night before, I woke up at 7am, just before a couple of work boats went by with a big wake that slapped and shook the hull. I connected to the internet to see what CNN and BBC had to say about the world events (I was pleased to read that piracy around Somalia has gone down 40% recently!) and edited and uploaded my pictures from the day before. It is now 12:30 and I didn’t realize where all the time had gone until I started remembering all the little tasks that add up:
There are more tasks upcoming, but first I’ll go outside and get some sunshine and perhaps see if I can afford a loaf of bread at the Bitter End Yacht Club store.
By the time all that was done, it was shortly before 5 and I took a quick shower, changed into long pants and dinghied back to Saba Rock for some happy hour libations and their tasty beef tacos at the bar. The daily tarpon feeding was a bit late, but I managed to get a couple of pictures of that event as well. When it was time to order dinner I saw that they’d kept the fish tacos on the menu but replaced the classic beef tacos with some vegetarian ones, so I opted to make dinner on the boat after all.
Tonight was a full moon, which also explained why Saba Rock was relatively empty since most of the crowds would be at Trellis Bay or the Bomba Shack for their big parties. I tried to get some pictures but clouds moved in and later it also rained a bit, making photography impossible. I ended up watching The Fifth Element, an older Sci-fi movie with Bruce Willis and Milla Jo….vich (I can’t recall her exact name) but before it was finished my eyes were closing on me and I went off to sleep.
