Winter 2011-2012 Trip 2012-03-15

Today was a long one, with Chris of Octopus diving and his friends Keith with his daughter Kendra we sailed to Île Fourchue off St. Barths for some diving and lunchtime BBQ followed by more diving and a night sail back to Grand Case. The conditions at sea were more boisterous than forecast but we still made good time and speed after passing Île Tintamarre and the return sail had us going 7-8 knots with 2 reefs in both sails, hitting higher speeds at times. The dives were great, but on the second one I managed to nudge the “auto focus” button to off and that is one of the few switches which cannot be reached inside the case. Oh well, at least some pictures from the first dive turned out.

My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.

So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies. 

The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
