I got going early in the morning and fired up the generator in order to charge the batteries, make water (not a good idea, as the filters clogged immediately) and so that I could have power to do a load of laundry, wash the dishes and do a quick vacuuming of the living areas on the boat. At around noon I headed out to Barnacle’s to use their internet to see if the Air France flight was on-time and to rent a car. The flight was indeed still scheduled to arrive on-time but after walking to three rental car agencies in the vicinity of Barnacle’s to find out that they had no cars available I gave up on that idea and had a salad for lunch and subsequently walked to the airport as I had lots of time. I started walking in the shade but soon those clouds blew or burned away and I was in the full Caribbean sunshine for the rest of the walk but it was good to get some exercise despite arriving at the airport a bit sweaty.
Desi and Agathe arrived in time and with their luggage which surprised me a bit considering the short stopover time that they had in Paris and we took a cab back to the dinghy but didn’t go aboard as we’d decided to have a happy hour drink or two at the bar. Several hours later we proceeded to the boat, deposited the luggage and returned for a great dinner of Ribs and burgers before retiring at about 22:00 for an early night.
