The generator had failed after startup the night before with an overheat error message, and since the cooling water system inlet wasn’t plugged but no water was flowing I knew I’d have to replace the impeller and since it was my first time on this generator I knew it would take a while, so Rob and Nat took off in the dinghy to explore Prickly Pear island and the reef while I went to work below.
They returned over an hour later as I was finishing and we had a quiet day aboard and at Leverick where we picked up dive equipment and signed up for a dive of the Chikuzen the next morning. Happy Hour was at Saba Rock and we had another fine dinner aboard.

Winter 2011-2012 Trip 2012-01-11
My old hosting company, who will remain unnamed although their name starts with “go” and the end rhymes with “baddy”, changed their software with little notice and the original SV-ZANSHIN.COM site stopped working overnight.
Every. Single. Page.
So I’ve transitioned to another provider. These original pages have been migrated, but all the formatting and other features are gone and the will still contain numerous display issues and formatting anomalies.
The manual effort of conversion is too much and not worth the effort involved. Over 1000 blog diary pages like this one are going to remain in this condition. The pictures are full-scale, but won’t expand when clicked. But you can can copy them to view them in their original splendour.
