Today was a busy day. The main two tasks were to get the SSB installed (well, I’d just be watching Bill Trayfors and his son do the work) and then to pick up Bernd and Carmen at the Washington Dulles airport in the evening.
The work on the SSB went along well, despite Bill arriving later than planned due to traffic problems involved with a local marathon race and insufficient detour markings to show drivers which route to take to get past the runners without driving over them. Luckily Zanshin is big enough to make acces to many things aboard much simpler than usual, although it still helps to be a small, long-armed contortionist with no problems with claustrophobia.
I had to leave for Washington before Bill was finished, but afterward I knew that I could have waited another hour on the boat instead of in the waiting area for international arrivals at Dulles since the queues at Immigration were very long.
